Comprehensive Care Clinic
The Comprehensive Care Clinic (CCC) has two separate focuses: HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis (TB). All services are confidential, and our staff, which consists of two nurses, three counselors, a clinical officer, and a records manager, is qualified, compassionate, and non-judgmental.
HIV/AIDS
The CCC cares for adults and children living with HIV/AIDS. We provide primary and specialty care for our patients and treat them with dignity and respect. HIV/AIDS is a long-term disease, so our goal is to help our patients live the best life possible. To do this, we provide:
- Wholistic care for physical, emotional, and social needs.
- HIV prevention education.
- Voluntary testing for those who wish to know their HIV status.
- Treatment to make the virus undetectable and untransmissible in HIV-positive patients.
- Safe family planning.
- Prevention, detection, and clinical management of any disease our patients may get, including infections, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
- Cervical cancer screening and treatment for HIV-positive women.
- Human papillomavirus vaccine for adolescent girls ages 10-14 years.
- Nutritional counseling.
- Psychosocial and spiritual counseling for the patient, partner, and family.
- Stress management.
- Palliative care for patients and families to help overcome stigma and live the best life possible.
The Chest Clinic
The Chest Clinic screens, tests, and treats TB. We also offer preventive measures for at-risk populations, such as healthcare workers, HIV patients, and contacts of confirmed TB patients.
TB is:
* A curable infectious disease that attacks the lungs and other parts of the body.
* Not easy to spread, unless you spend a lot of time very close to someone.
* Spread through the tiny droplets that come from your mouth when you cough, sneeze, shout, or sing.
*One of the most common diseases in the world.
